NASA Space Apps Challenge Lime 2023 will take place this Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 virtually. This contest, in its 12th edition, is held in several cities and countries of the world simultaneously.
This contest is a project of the North American space agency that seeks to develop mobile applications and other inventions with information from the universe, satellite data, open data, etc.
How does it work? According to the official portal, for 48 hours, global teams must propose concrete solutions to problems on Earth and space using data from NASA and associated space agencies.
In the case of Peru, those who wish to participate must register at this link and register on the ‘sign up’ button. Then, they must fill out this form with the information requested and, with the two registrations completed, the registration will be confirmed. However, a team of between 2 to 6 participants must be formed on the Lima (Peru) web platform so you can compete.
It should be added that it is possible to prepare, in advance, with the challenges that NASA has posted on its page.
Finally, if you are in one of the three teams that will win the Lima edition of the contest, you will be nominated to represent Peru in the international evaluation, in which if you are the ‘overall’ winner you could be invited along with your group to Visit NASA headquarters and present your project there.
